Rachel Gregersen is the owner and principal designer at Beyond Shades. After 20 years in the home-fashion industry, including 12 years as the national business leader for window coverings on the executive team of one of America’s largest retailers, she saw an opportunity to create an customer-focused way to offer window fashions to homeowners. This boutique home-fashion specialty store has grown to a talented group of individuals serving all of Chicagoland from their Elmhurst shop-at-home office and Oakbrook Terrace showroom.
Her knowledge, experience, and passion for window coverings and home fashion is evident in the top-notch service she insists that all clients receive. She believes that every customer is a VIP and should be treated as such.
At Beyond Shades we LOVE what we do. We love interior fashions, home decor, interior design, paint, wallpaper, fabrics, and especially window coverings and drapery. We have a true passion for it. Our team will work with you at your own pace and in your own space. Every installer we use is certified in one or more major brands. This means that they have completed and maintained the credentials for properly measuring and installing your order. All of our installers are experienced in installing window treatments in the Chicago, Indiana, and Wisconsin areas.
We are a full-service custom window coverings, shutter, and drapery company with experienced and talented design consultants and certified installers. We work exclusively with quality brand names. Our long-term relationships with our suppliers have proven to us that these brands stand behind their products.
Rachel lives in Elmhurst with her husband and two children. When she is not busy at work with Beyond Shades, she enjoys her family and friends, traveling, photography, and supporting various causes through volunteering.
